Information we collect
When you submit a quote request, contact form, or document/certificate request on this site, we collect the information you provide — which may include your name, business name, email address, phone number, state, a description of the coverage or documents requested, and any details you include in a message field. If you use the Coverage Align Tool or the Coverage Stack before requesting a quote, the request also carries the short summaries those tools produced, which can include limit amounts and other values read out of a document you checked, and the file names of the documents used.
When you browse the site, our hosting servers receive the standard technical information every website receives — such as your IP address, browser type and the page you requested — and use it to deliver pages, keep the site secure and prevent abuse. This site does not use Google Analytics or any other analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking service, and it does not build profiles of individual visitors. The site keeps only simple weekly totals — how many times its phone-number links were tapped and on which page, and how many analyses and quote requests the Coverage Align Tool handled and which page visitors arrived from — without linking any of those totals to an individual. See "Cookies and similar technologies" below.
The Coverage Align Tool logs the name you type and your IP address at the moment you accept that tool's own disclosure (the "Unlock Document Upload" step), separately from anything you later choose to submit. This happens whether or not you go on to upload a document or request a quote, and is used only for internal security and record-keeping related to that acceptance — it is not shared, sold, or used for marketing.
How we use your information
We use the information you submit to respond to your quote request, contact you about coverage options, prepare submissions to insurance carriers on your behalf, send requested certificates or documents, and otherwise service your account if you become a client.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use the information you submit through this site for purposes unrelated to responding to your request or servicing your insurance account without your consent.
How the Coverage Align Tool handles your documents
Three different things happen to a document you check, and they are worth keeping apart. THE FILE stays on your device — it is opened and read by your own browser and is never uploaded through this tool. THE EXTRACTED TEXT is sent to our server so it can be compared against our list of recognized insurance terms, and is not stored once your results come back. A SUBMITTED QUOTE carries neither of those: it carries what you typed, the values you reviewed and approved, the short summaries the tools produced, and the file names of the documents used.
When you choose a document in the Coverage Align Tool, your own browser opens it on your device and pulls out the text, including text recognition for scanned pages, which also runs in your browser. The original file is not uploaded through this tool. Only the extracted text is sent to Gleason Insurance Brokers' own server, which compares it with our list of recognized insurance terms and sends back the matches. Our server does not store the text once your results are produced; a short-lived, one-way fingerprint of it is held in server memory only to stop automated misuse, and it cannot be turned back into your document.
While you keep working in the same browser tab, the extracted text and your quote entries are held temporarily in the page's memory, so you can move between Coverage Align, the Coverage Stack and your quote without uploading documents or typing answers again. Nothing is reused without your say-so: documents you gave for a quote are used as current-insurance evidence only after you confirm they are current policies, and suggested quote values are applied only after you review them. This temporary memory is never saved to your device's storage or to our servers, and it is cleared when you close or refresh the tab, choose Start Over, submit a quote, or leave it idle for about 90 minutes.
Results are general and informational, not a coverage determination, and may need review by a licensed broker. Please leave Social Security numbers, payment details and other sensitive personal information out of any document you check. — If you go on to request a quote, the request carries what you typed, any values you reviewed and approved from a document, the file names of the documents used, and the short summaries the tools produced — which can include limit amounts, carrier ratings and notice periods read out of your document, and the coverage categories that were flagged or compared. Your file itself, and its full text, are not sent with the request.
Voice input
Some forms on this site offer an optional "Fill Form With Voice" feature and per-field microphone buttons, both built on your browser's own built-in speech-recognition feature. Voice input is always optional — you can type instead at any time, and any recognized text remains fully editable before you submit the form.
Depending on your browser or device, the audio you speak may be processed by your browser provider's own servers rather than entirely on your device — this is a limitation of the browser's speech-recognition technology itself, not something this site controls or configures. Gleason Insurance Brokers does not intentionally record or store raw voice audio. Recognized text is transmitted to us only when you actually submit the form, the same as anything you type.
