Our story

Built on real construction industry experience

We believe a commercial insurance relationship should offer more than access to insurance products. It should bring knowledgeable representation, attention to detail, clear communication and a real understanding of the business behind the coverage.

Construction is an industry where contracts, project schedules, subcontractors, equipment, vehicles and operating exposures create significant insurance challenges. With a construction industry background dating to 2000 and a focus on contractor insurance as a broker since 2015, Principal David Gleason brings experience that extends well beyond traditional insurance sales.

That experience shapes how we talk with clients, how we evaluate coverage considerations and how we present a business's operations to insurance markets. A business owner's job is running and growing the company, not becoming an insurance expert. Our job is to make the insurance decisions understandable.

How we think

Why the details make the difference

A commercial insurance policy can look attractive on paper while leaving important questions unanswered, and comparing annual premiums rarely answers them.

Our focus is understanding the account, identifying the issues that deserve attention, working with available insurance markets and helping you evaluate the options presented. These are the questions we work through on every account:

Does the coverage reflect the work the business actually performs?
Are the contract's written insurance requirements addressed?
Are vehicles, equipment and subcontracted work accurately represented?
Which limitations or exclusions deserve a closer look?

How it works

How we handle an account

Every account starts with understanding the operation: what the business does, where it works, the contracts it signs, and the vehicles, equipment and people involved. From there we review exposures and written insurance requirements, prepare accurate underwriting information, approach the carriers and programs that fit, and walk you through the differences in what comes back.

After coverage is in place, the relationship continues: certificates of insurance, policy changes, premium payments and renewal planning as the business changes.

We have also built tools that help owners prepare, including the Coverage Align Tool for contract insurance requirements, the Underwriting Readiness Check, the Coverage Analyzer and a library of insurance case studies. They complement our professional review; they do not replace legal, financial or safety advice.

Who we serve

Who we work best with

We especially value relationships with established and growing businesses that treat professional insurance guidance as part of running the company well.

Many of the accounts we are best suited for generate roughly $2 million or more in annual revenue and carry more complex insurance needs: construction projects, larger contracts, several coverage lines, equipment or a fleet. For contractors, the point where a program needs active management often arrives as revenue approaches $3 million, and we like to start that conversation earlier.

The best fit is an owner or management team that values sound advice, clear communication, responsiveness and a long-term relationship as much as the price. Our objective is to be a dependable insurance resource as your business evolves, through renewals, changing operations and new insurance requirements.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Where is Gleason Insurance Brokers located?

The firm's office is at 9477 Greenback Lane, #524A, Folsom, CA 95630. Coverage is placed for clients across California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas and Utah wherever they are based.

Is Gleason Insurance Brokers only a construction insurance agency?

No. Construction is our deepest focus, and the same process serves trucking and transportation, developers and subdividers, building material suppliers, equipment rental companies, architecture and engineering firms, restaurants and breweries, data centers and cyber liability.

What is the California license number?

California license 0K70385 is the primary license of record. Additional licenses are held in Arizona, Nevada, Texas and Utah. Verify current status with the California Department of Insurance or the relevant state department before relying on a license number.

How do I request a quote?

Use the quote form on this site or call 844-978-7283. Include the deadline, a description of the operations or project, and any written insurance requirements from a contract or lender.

Does submitting a quote request bind coverage?

No. Submitting a request starts a review. Coverage is bound only once a carrier issues a policy or binder and the agency confirms it in writing.

Which industries does the agency serve?

Contractors and construction, developers and subdividers, trucking and transportation, building material suppliers, equipment rental companies and dealers, architecture and engineering firms, restaurants and breweries, and data centers, with cyber liability across them, in California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas and Utah.

How is information about coverage requirements kept current?

Content on this site is reviewed against official regulator and agency sources. Licensing, bonding and program requirements change, so always verify a current figure directly with the named source before relying on it.

Is Gleason Insurance Brokers an insurance broker or an insurance agent?

We are an independent insurance broker, which is a different relationship from a captive insurance agent: an agent typically represents one carrier, while a broker represents the client and can approach several carriers. "Insurance agency" is sometimes used for either relationship; we operate as an independent commercial insurance broker licensed in five states, not a captive agent for any single company.

Does Gleason Insurance Brokers compete on price?

We compare real options across the carriers and programs available to your business, and price is one part of that comparison. Limits, exclusions, endorsements and conditions matter just as much, so we show you the differences rather than the premium alone. No broker can honestly promise the lowest price everywhere.
